Terrible business practices

Terrible company. Ordered prescription food for my dog and was promised delivery within a week.

After not getting any shipment email after 3-4 days, I bought the same item locally.

I called to cancel the shipment before it shipped but was told they cant cancel it because it comes from a third party. Odd that they can order through the third party but not cancel an order.

Shipment never came and I finally got a cancellation notice. Thankfully, I logged in to my account to double-check I wasnt charged. Instead, I was somehow signed up to an auto-ship order where they were going to send the same order every three months even though I never asked for it and didnt want it.

Clicking the CANCEL ORDER button pops up a window that allows me to pause it for two weeks but not cancel it.

Weird choice of wording. Why not call it a PAUSE ORDER since you cant actually cancel it? It tells me to call or chat for more info. Great idea except they dont have a chat feature on the website.

Ill just delete my credit card info that should cancel the order.

Nope. It wont allow me to delete the card because theres an auto-ship order attached to it. Very clever.

I finally called and spoke to someone who feigned shock that I was signed up for that. No reasonable explanation of why it was there or why I was unable to cancel it on my own or delete my account like every legitimate shopping site would do.

No idea if the auto-ship is actually cancelled or if Ill have to get my credit card company involved.

Avoid this wannabe Chewy clone website like the plague.

I wish I had never been forced to go here with every other reputable place being out of stock with the particular dog food. Sketchy site designed to separate you from your money.

Preferred solution: I would like to see them change their policies to allow the customers the ability to cancel future orders, remove credit card info and other standard shopping website features.

Leaking products

Received Leaking products ARM & Hammers cat litter Deodorizer delivered upon opening. Loose boxes not in a case were leaking all over the place I will call you tomorrow or you can reached me at 408 888- **** to resolve this issue

No complaints, just needed to cancel auto shipping due to product changed ingredients. I had no problem with cancelling my order or the auto shipping. The agent was very understanding and very helpful and assured me that they would handle the cancellation and the order that was placed. I appreciate the time and the help I needed.

I have been ordering for years from Petflow.com and I have noticed that on every order they charge my credit card 1 cent more than the total of the invoice. I have seen other people comment that the same thing is happening to them. I am guessing this is common practice for them and they just hope people dont complain because its only a penny. But if you add that up for every order they process it then it can contribute significantly to their bottom line. Its unethical and people need to start reporting them to their credit card companies for this.

Death of my dog

So, I figured I would send a complaint here, since I have no idea where to send it. Maybe you can forward it to the correct person. I have a vet prescribed program for my dog with you guys. I ordered it when all the crazy stuff in our world started going down so that I would have food for my dog thru it all. I got it in the mail just this past Thursday. My dog started to get sick last week Monday. I tried everything I could to get her better, but unfortunately she passed away yesterday morning. Leaving me with $190 worth of food that I no longer need. I stopped working 2 weeks ago and will not work for at least another 2 weeks and maybe another 4 weeks or more with the Gov extending everything yesterday. I get that you don't normally take back food and all. But, the big giant box is literally not even opened from you yet. You would get it back almost like a undeliverable, return to sender. I have called all my credit cards and my mortgage and in these crazy times, they have done things that they would normally not do. I feel that the person that I talked to on the phone didn't even try to care or anything about the fact that I said my dog passed away yesterday and check in to if there was something that might be able to be done. These are the times of special circumstances that make companies shine brighter than others. $190 is quite a bit of money that I could really use in the situation that I am in right now, with no clear path of when I will be going back to work. And, for her to not even put any effort in to checking if anything could be done to make a customer happy that has been with you for years on end is kinda disheartening. The food is unopened in the shipping box from you. Untouched by any hands at all. If it was sent by USPS I would be able to just write refused, return to sender on it, since it is unopened and they would take it and send it right back to you. If I were to have been able to do that, what exactly would happen if you got an order returned back to you? Would you send it back to me again? Would you keep it and not refund my money? I don't know what to think about this at all. Pretty sure my other not over weight healthy dog should not be eating this metabolic food. I would love to be able to just donate it and be a great human being. But, $190 is a good bit on money that me, an unemployed pet lover that was caused by Covid-19, could really use right now. You, a large company might not really feel $190, especially being that you are a online business that mostly has not had to shut down I would think, since there is no store front for customers to come in to. So, I guess if $190 means that much to your company that much that the person I talked to didn't care enough to do anything about in these trying time, then I applaud your customer service and how it is shinning through the clouds in this world we are in currently. Thank you

I ordered my cat food from you April 14th as the c/s rep assured me you had the product in stock. order # 783**** A week later after hearing nothing from you and being out of my pet food I ended up ordering my food from my vet which was way more expensive. I tried to cancel my order with you April 22nd and was told I couldn't because it was a special order. Now Im out over $70 because you were unable even yesterday April 22nd, to tell me when it would ship. You really have no consideration for your customers and I have ZERO consideration for Petflow

User's recommendation: I recommend not using Petflow but use Chewy.com. There customer service is 100% available and they would have cancelled my order immediately. Chewy.com best customer service.

Fantastic

Some items were broken during and PetFlow is sending free ones to replace the damaged products. The customer service rep was extremely knowledgeable and professional and helpful.

very poor customer service . I had a placed order for prescription pet food. Order was cancelled 3 times over a 2 month time period. only the 3rd time was I notified that it was cancelled. First they claimed that the vendor was backlogged but they didn't bother telling anyone who had an order pending - they just went a ahead and cancelled. When your food doesn't show up and you call that's when you find out. Then they told me a i a valid prescription on 2 different phone calls over a weeks time. Then they cancelled order after that due to "expired prescription. If they had fulfilled the order 2 months prior when it was placed the prescription was valid. Only harmed parties were me and my pet. They were completely useless. i am hopeful that i can find some food my pet may eat without becoming seriously ill again. Don't use Petflow!

Just about every order I placed they billed my crew card a penny more I would bet they do that to most orders banking on nobody is going to complain about A penny which if they do that to every order it adds up

Rx food shipping - Disappointing

I placed my order on 12/08 at 4pm and at the same time I spoke with my vet and I placed a live chat with Pet flow requesting urgency. Here I am, 3 days later, to find out my order will only be shipped on 12/13. The customer service rep. was able to give me plenty of excuses as, my order was placed too late for approval on the same day, their standard is 2 days for vet approval, they do not ship on weekends bla bla bla. As a client, all I can hear is POOR SERVICE. Standard would be acceptable if urgency had not been requested from my part, which was not the case. I am disappointed and definitely, I will not recommend them to anybody.

Lost order - Customer must locate!

PetFLOW.COM actually just asked me to research a lost shipment! I am on an auto refill program and the customer service agent cant find my account after receiving food for 5 years. As a customer service manager, I find this appalling. I have had nothing, but good experiences, however, I am not about to do their job for them. Other issues have been resolved without a hitch and now I'm not in their system????? I am very perturbed by this fact. I hope that they resolve this in a timely manner or I will charge to do the work myself and never shop there again!

Ordered heart guard from petflow, when the package arrived I opened it at my mailbox in my car. The second I opened the box hundreds of ants swarmed out of the box and all over my hands. I had to toss the box into the road then jump out of my vehicle to get the ants off of me as they were heading up my arms. There were so many that I had to dump the meds on the ground and bang the box on the ground just to be able to put it in the bed of my truck and even after doing that ants still got on my hand. They were carrying a white substance I now know to be eggs!! The company that handles meds for petflow is vetsource and they have replaced them but petflow acted like it was no big deal. When I told them I didn't think I could continue to buy pet products from them they chuckled and said yea, good idea. I asked to speak with a supervisor but one never returned my call.
